Apple will expand its range of products with Mini LED screens

 Apple tablets are mainly associated with LCD displays. The Cupertino giant has already tried a slightly different technology, i.e. Mini LED, which is available on the iPad Pro with a 12,9-inch screen. In next year's models, however, this solution is definitely to dominate.



This year, two variants of the iPad Pro tablet were presented. Both of these devices offer great performance thanks to the Apple M1 chipset, but only the larger of them uses the Mini LED screen. It is a modern display technology that uses much smaller LEDs, which in turn translates into an increase in the number of local blanking zones. This affects, among other things, the improvement of contrast, as well as HDR performance. The larger of this year's models can boast as many as 2500 local blanking zones.



Mini LED technology also in MacBooks

According to the latest reports, the manufacturer of the bitten apple plans to use a Mini LED screen also in next year's MacBook Pro models. The diagonal of their screens will be 14 and 16 inches. Production of these devices is expected to start later this quarter. It is also said that the Mini LED technology will be used in MacBook Air and 11 and 12,9-inch iPad Pro.

What else will the new iPad Pro surprise us with?

The iPad Pro tablets for 2022 will also feature a back panel made of glass. Apple is also working on a magnetic charging technology that is similar to the already known solution called MagSafe. The company from Cupertino is also considering the use of a reverse charging function, which will enable wireless charging of energy in other devices.
